Great tips. I was thinking of doing some fun stuff like that and then I
stepped outside and that 4 degree chill hit me and I said.... it's Mr Buddy
time...it's Mr. Buddy time...
Check these little heaters out at Bass Pro. They are very nicely made and
work very very well.
I thought this morning going in to work... we could have some fun making
some shelters to stay warm with... one of the commanders wants to make a
trench fire and cover it with rocks and dirt and sleep over it....grin.... I
said hey if you get over done we could have you for breakfast in the morning
in stead of bacon and eggs.
Lots of fun to be had. I have already received some calls today and the
boys are pullin at the reigns to freeze this evening. What's up with these
guys. Don't they know its cold outside?
GRIN!
Mark Jones.... think of us while your in your compfy slippers and looking
outside at around 10 this evening..... you know we will be making some
memories we can laugh about in a few years.... you remember when....?

Subject: Re: [RR] It's 5 degrees and we are going camping! HELLO!
27F going up to 41 today and camp'n in the winter is just a matter of
keeping dry.
Todays gear is the best there has every been.. but still the rules of
survival apply.
*Think.. Don't let the boots get soaked or the cold will steal your
joy..
Happiness is dry thick wool socks and fine German army wool trousers.
A steel barrel, shot full holes for air- loaded with burning tree
branches..
and a simple tarp goes a long way outdoors on a cold day.
*I found the Tipi perfect in the snow with a dry haybale applied to the
ground and everyone spread out like a wagon wheel in sleeping bags
covered with a DRY wool army blanket..
Sorry to repete.. but again *I say.. Stay dry!
*No need for Mr.Heater in a well made winter camp.
->A No.1*<-
