WWF is working with corporate leaders to promote forestry practices that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible. We are seeking to recruit an experienced and talented communicator to help us present the business case for responsible procurement, investment and production in the forest and plantation industries. The communicator will also assist us to sound the alarm on reckless logging and indiscriminate forest clearing; to report out regularly and transparently to our supporters; and to manage related communication and information exchange within the WWF network and with our partners. The communicator will join our Asia Pacific Forest Programme based in Denpasar, Indonesia and will be expected to travel frequently.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in communications, publication relations and/or advocacy; excellent written and spoken English; the ability to think strategically; proven skills in networking; excellent interpersonal and team building skills; and be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Familiarity with natural resource management and/or corporate social responsibility issues will be an advantage. WWF offers a competitive compensation package.
