Petai ( stinky beans ) ternyata kaya manfaat , selain merupakan sumber
energy bagi tubuh karena mengandung inkrosa , frukrosa , dan glukosa
tapi juga mengandung serat yang dapat membantu melancarkan BAB (buang
air besar) . Petai mengandung trytopan sejenis protein yang diubah
tubuh menjadi serotinin . Zat tersebut membuat badan menjadi relax dan
memperbaiki mood .. Petai sangat baik dikomsumsi bagi mereka yang
menderita anemia karena kandungan zat besi yang tinggi . menurut salah
satu reset yang dipubliasikan dalam The New England Journal of
Medicine , makan petai sebagai bagian dari makanan sehari-hari akan
menurunkan resiko kematian karena stroke sampai 40 % .
Ini disebabkan petai mempunyai kandungan calium yang tinggi dan mampu
menurunkan resiko tekanan darah dan stroke .Dibandingkan apel , petai
memiliki protein 4X lebih banyak , karbohodrat 2X lipat , pospor 3X
lipat , Vit adan zat besi 5X lipat dan 2X lipat Vit.dan mineral
lainnya . Nah ditinjau dari segi kesehatan anda tak perlu takut sering
– sering makan petai , akan tetapi juga harus rajin siakt gigi dan
mengunyah permen untuk menghilangkan BM ( Bau Mulut ).
