Steve,
I have used the Zebra TLP 2844 for many years, my tag size is
2.25x1.75(hangtags) and Code128. When I click on the barcode it actually
shows no font.  Just a thought, is the LP2824 a thermal transfer?  I use
only thermal transfer which are permanent while direct thermal will blacken
with heat and/or direct light, especially sunshine
