Tom, I believe it is thermal transfer. The question is why the report designer does not reflect what is printed. While there is plenty of room to add a price field on the printed label, the report designer leaves no room as the three fields placed on the report designer screen takes up the entire visible space.

When I click on the barcode it actually shows no font. Just a thought, is the LP2824 a thermal transfer? I use only thermal transfer which are permanent while direct thermal will blacken with heat and/or direct light, especially sunshine Tom Hart On Thu, Nov 17, 2016 at 11:06 PM, Steve Johnson <[email protected]> wrote: Would anyone have any experience with setting up a Zebra LP2824 printer in an Rbase application? This printer is used to print pricing tags in a retail environment. Here is the problem, using Rbase 9.5. In setting up the report to print labels, the report is configured for Code128 and a label size of 1.25w and .85h, which sets up the size of the design space to place objects on in the designer. When either a DB Label or DB barcode is placed in the designer in the detail band, the printed output on the label itself is about 1/3 the size that one sees in the Designer. In other words, if I expand the barcode field the full width of the space in the Designer, the printed barcode is about 1/3 the size of the label. Is this related to the printer driver or is there something else I am missing? Also, what font does one typically use? There is a BC128 narrow available, but does not seem to affect the printed output if I use courier instead. Since I am only printing an 8 digit barcode, I was able to make the report work, but the DB Barcode is the full width of the design space in the Report Designer. In this situation, I cannot print a 13 digit barcode. Thanks Steve Johnson -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBASE-L" group.
