Albert, Just a thought:
When I worked in different countries in Europe, national keyboards were often the problem when some characters went "astray". Often the answer was to use the key in the position of the UK or perhaps more often the US keyboard position. I know nothing about Macs but if the keyboard layout is different is the right letter being transmitted through the Parallels interface?
