Six years ago I bought the fastest 4 drives we could afford and run them
RAID 1+0. on the DB server. Have lost two of the drives on separate
occasions and the Array just kept humming along. I have requested a new DB
server with everything state of the art, I don't like using a 6 year old
server.

RDP Server is a 3 year old, HP Proliant DL120 G7 (1 processor) , Intel Xeon
3.4 Ghz processor, 16 gigs of Ram, running Server 2012 R2 64 Bit OS, Dual 1
gig NICs teamed, RAID 5 (3 drives)

DB Server is a 6 year old, HP DL360 G7 (2 processors), Intel Xeon 2.67 Ghz
processors, 12 Gig Ram, running Server 2008 64 Bit OS, Dual 1 gig NICs
teamed, RAID 10 (4 drives)

Anybody out there using flash drive for their server?

When we were still using Citrix, we experimented with 3 published apps and
it is really cool. But we currently give them a RDP desktop and they run
multiple applications at the same time. Sales Order and Part Lookup
Control Panel program, etc. They cut and paste between the two apps all
the time.

Since we dropped Citrix, we have not set up remote apps, too many other hot
projects.

Anybody out there publishing apps through RDP?

Kenny
