Patti,

I stand corrected, I went back into an app I am developing and the check box for auto scroll did work. For some reason, it not work the night before on multiple forms.  I rarely use auto scroll  as I prefer a multi page form to an oversized form that requires scrolling. Thanks for the blues clues.

Hi Steve,

Scroll bars can still be turned off or on in the form properties.  If the Auto Scroll box is not checked, there will be no scroll bar.

I remember dragging the scroll bar worked a few years ago.  Back then, someone brought to my attention the fact that it stopped working all of a sudden.  I discovered the problem was that we didn't have the latest "packet" installed for Windows.  That fixed it back then, but it didn't seem to make a difference this time.

Patti,

I discovered the same problem.  Seems I recall in earlier versions that scroll bars could be turned on and off in the properties menu, but does not exist that I can find in XE.  Even more interesting, one form on an application has the scroll bars on it if one drags the sides or top in with the same behavior you described.  All the rest of the forms in the application, the scroll bar does not appear at all, no matter how much the sides or pulled in, and I can't find any difference in the form properties settings that would account for it.  It would appear that something has changed since 9.5.  Fortunately, most of my forms are designed so that I don't need scroll bars. Hopefully Razzak will see this thread, he will surely have the answer!

I see what you are saying and as far as I can tell, all scroll bars in R:Base work the same way where you have to either click on the arrows at the ends or on the blank space in the scroll bar but you cannot drag the scroll bar button. I know it works in the form designer.

This would be the one feature I would love to see implemented where you can grab the scroll button and move it up or down smoothly as we are used on other applications.

We can't drag down our vertical scroll bars in our forms anymore.  We have to hold the cursor on the up or down arrows to move the scroll bar any distance.  I don't know if it started when we switched to Rbase X or not.  I don't actually use the forms I create and I rely on others to tell me when things aren't working correctly.

When I'm in forms designer, I can drag the scroll bar just fine.  Also works ok in other applications, so I don't believe it has anything to do with our version of Windows.

It only seems to be when we're actually entering or editing using the forms.

Is there something I should be looking at?  I have scroll bar checked on all forms.

Thanks,
Patti
