Thank you, Razzak, and others that responded.  I will pursue the DSN-less 
route.

I have used this technique when having to connect to mulitple Acce$$ 
databases.  It was neat bit of code.

I'm thinking the DSN-less method lends itself to creating a command file 
that uses passed parameters.

I'm going to go have some fun.  Might lose a sock or two in the process 
:-)
