Doug,

Silly question but is your virus scanner set to ignore RBASE databases? I've
been running X.5 since the training & conference and I have not been having
this problem. Until 2 weeks ago I was running it in Windows 7 on a laptop and
my new laptop is Windows 10 and also no problems. I downloaded today's updates
but haven't gotten them loaded yet.

Sorry,
Paul Buckley

Subject: [RBASE-L] - CPU Usage 100%, RBXE5 on Win 7

Whenever I browse a table of view in RBGX5E, CPU usage goes to 100% - it sorta
brings my system to its knees :)

Happens whether I right click & Open, BRO from an R> or run a BRO command from
the Editor.

If I right-click on the open table, usage drops to a few %, once a tally is
displayed, usage goes to 100%.
SET MDI ON/OFF doesn't make any difference (I had changed that a few weeks ago).

Per Task Manager, usage is approx 50% kernel (red), 50% user (green).

This happens in X.5E, current 10.5.1.30326 and previous two updates (don't know
about prior updates); it wasn't a problem in XE or 9.5.

O/S is Win 7 Pro, SP 1; 32 bit, 8 GB RAM.

Any suggestions for the Blues Clues / Percentage Pain?

Thanks,
Doug
