There may be an easier way, but one way would be to set a filler variable to
blanks the length of the indent, and then append it to the front of what you
want to print, or set your variable to print next to it.
If indent = 'y' then
set var vdata = (' ' & .vdata)
endif
or
set var vblanks = ' '
if indent = 'y' then
set var vdata = (.vblanks & .vdata)
endif

I need to indent the printing in a report based on the value of a variable.
This would look much like a bill of material where the child records would be
indented from the parent. I know the variable value but have been unable to
figure out how to indent the text based on that variable. Anyone done this
before?
