I brought up the Object Inspector, and it displays the properties. So I'm
guessing they are available via property commands:

didn't report coz could not find any mention of properties available for
tweaking in documentation or variable links lists. Now, when you DO want to
highlight a date through code, how do you do it?
If a property isn't listed anywhere, how does one change it, outside of the
[F11] interface?

So I just now noticed the "select date back / fore" properties! Found out
that if you change the Background to White and the Foreground to Black, there's
no highlight!!!! Yahoo, this goes in my notes for sure!
Glad my brain is functioning. Just an FYI that I tested positive for COVID 11
days ago. No clue how I got it as I've done practically no socializing. My
SigOther shows no symptoms at all but hasn't been tested (our doctor will not
order a test since he has no symptoms). Yesterday was the first day where I
could say that I am feeling almost "good as new"

Tony:
I had already tried that. It works for you? Cuz it doesn't for me. I'm using
the latest 10.5 enterprise. Here's my property page and how the form comes up
with a null initialized variable. When I was previously playing around with
it, it does indeed seem to be the "frame" around the blue highlight as it says.
Changing it to white causes no frame around the highlight, but it does not get
rid of the blue highlight.
Thinking that I might submit an enhancement request to highlight NO date

Karen, You can make today invisible Change Todays Date frame for instance to
White
then Today is not highlighted anymore

Enhanced Variable calendar
Am I missing a setting on this control? I have a form come up where the user
is required to select one date, but the 2nd date is optional. "Today" comes up
highlighted on both calendars, and my users are confused because they think the
date is "selected" for the optional 2nd date. They try to click it off and
can't, and end up inadvertently selecting a 2nd date.
Is there a setting so that "today" is not highlighted?
