Here is an eloquent method to check the existence of file or directory.
-- Example
SET VAR vBackupDir1 TEXT = 'XLS'
IF (CHKFILE(.vBackupDir1)) <> 1 THEN
MKDIR .vBackupDir1
ENDIF
There is no need to use extra steps and variables
to check the existence of file or directory.
