Tip of the Day: Disable the Cancel Button in Printing Progress Dialog
Product.......: R:BASE X.5 and R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5)
Build.........: 10.5.3.11119 or higher
Sections......: Reports
Keywords......: Print, Progress Dialog, PROPERTY, Cancel

Did you know that it is possible to disable the "Cancel" button in the
Printing progress dialog when generating reports?

When printing a report, the "Printing" dialog, displays the page creation
progress and includes a Cancel button.

For those who wish to suppress the dialog entirely, there is a PRINT
command parameter (SHOW_CANCEL_DIALOG) to hide the dialog box.

However, the progress dialog may be needed, but the application still may
not want the "Cancel" button to be available.

A new PROPERTY command parameter has been implemented to only disable the
Cancel button in the "Printing" progress dialog.

PROPERTY REPORT CANCEL_IN_PROGRESS_DIALOG ON|OFF

To not interfere with the existing report printing functionality, the global
flag can be turned ON/OFF using the PROPERTY command. The default is ON.
When the parameter is OFF, the progress dialog is still displayed, but the
Cancel button is disabled.

New to the progress dialog is also a more dynamic width to better display
the full path and report name in a single line, for easier review!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
