Razzak:
... which suggests that mobile EMAIL applications are entirely "doable",
if R:MAIL can manage "modern" secured authentication. Given the
prevalence of two-factor authentication in the mobile world, and the
disappearance of support for TLS versions 1.1 and 1.2, may I safely
presume, then, that recent releases of R:MAIL :
(A) are fully TLS v1.3 compliant? [1]
(B) able to handle two-factor authentication with recent versions of
e.g. Office 365?
Many thanks, Bruce
[1] The current R:MAILX.5 interface allows the selection of "TLS Ver 1"
(pdf manual, screenshot p.18); and the available TLS parameters (pdf
manual, table p.24) do not discriminate between sub-versions.

Applications
Tom,
Yes.
For this specific project, the .apk file is installed and managed on the
Android 8.1 Handheld Scanner 1080p (1920×1080) resolution, and the entire Java
application binaries with services, R:BASE, Oterro, and the entire database on
the Cloud server.
There is already an full R:BASE application for users on the Cloud, and now we
have a mobile application of Handheld Scanners for Inventory and Warehouse
functions using WiFi service.
Hope it helps!

Razzak....Is the app itself written in Java? I currently have an Android app
written in AppInventor that uses an PHP API I wrote that hits our Rbase
Database through ODBC/Oterro. How is the 'cloud' approach work?

To R:BASE Community:
Using the latest version of R:BASE X.5 Enterprise (Version 10.5), Oterro X.5
Enterprise (Version 10.5), Android 8.1 and Java, now you may develop and deploy
R:BASE Mobile Handheld Applications running on the Cloud.
For your viewing pleasure, here is an overview of deployed R:BASE Physical
Inventory System (Mobile Handheld Version) on Amazon Cloud Server.
Even during a pandemic, we continue to serve our corporate customers with
challenging R:BASE development projects like this.
Remember, nothing is impossible!
Enjoy!
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak
