Tony,

Very impressive and unique user console/interface. Is it all done in R:Base? I
might have to steal some of your ideas. 😊

Be my pleasure my friend, today's Australia Day, kinda like everyone wants to
act like crocodile dundee and hover over a bbq cooking lamb chops and sausages
drinking beer. Yes it's a public holiday. I'll start the project posts tomorrow
but here is a couple of the interactive console shots for you. Every component
is active with mouse over and on click eeps which data mine based on preset
filters.

I'll detail the eeps and RBsynchonize interactions over the week or so.

Tony,

I for one would be delighted to follow your progress as I plan to implement
something similar in the near future for field applications on portable devices
such as Win tablets, IPads and maybe even Android devices. I did develop an
application to do field inspections including reading RFID chips and created my
own synchronization utility. With the widespread availability of Wi-Fi I
imagine most applications would be accessed remotely rather than locally so
synchronization will like be not needed. Technology is moving so fast that by
the time you have something debugged is almost obsolete.

As the title suggests I would like to share a part of a new project I'm
currently building for those who maybe interested.

Currently I am working in a aquaculture site that produces Black Tiger Prawn's.
About 30 million dollars worth a season. It's located at Ayr, North Queensland
right on the Great Barrier Reef, so the Government's environmental laws are
among the world's toughest. That's the basic background. Apart from they have
been running on a few spreadsheets to monitor the progress of the crop. I was
horrified to say the least.

So, that's what enticed me to take the challenge on, I have always had a
personal copy of RBase that I fiddled with on my sea change when we moved to
the area. Now the biggest challenge was limited internet and Wi-Fi services on
the farm. Enter RBase and RBsynchonize.

Some may know I have done a far amount of work with mobile devices years ago
but win ce is dead. Mobile windows tablets and android tablets are not. So if
enough of you lister's want to follow this development I'm more than happy to
share as I don't want to be posting things people may not want to receive.
