The pond console is the layout of a pond with its aeration units. The row of buttons beneath control the allocation and positioning of each unit (done by glyph images and visible true or false) green is aerator unit is running (no red cross or off glyph will have a red cross appear) the gauges all taking the data from the handsets used to measure Dissolved oxygen, pH levels, salinity and so on. I'll be sharing the techniques used over the next week or so as these are just two consoles within the application. Others include algal identification and tracking water flows and heights through to charting the results via RCharts. All done within RBase, RCHarts, Ottero and RBSynchroniser. It's located at Ayr, North Queensland right on the Great Barrier Reef, so the Government's environmental laws are among the world's toughest. That's the basic background. Apart from they have been running on a few spreadsheets to monitor the progress of the crop. I was horrified to say the least. So, that's what enticed me to take the challenge on, I have always had a personal copy of RBase that I fiddled with on my sea change when we moved to the area. Now the biggest challenge was limited internet and Wi-Fi services on the farm. Enter RBase and RBsynchonize. Some may know I have done a far amount of work with mobile devices years ago but win ce is dead. Mobile windows tablets and android tablets are not.
