Bruce,
Thanks for the reminder for the on-line help link. Much appreciate it. I did
take a look at the information.

So, to summarize my understanding: The a DBEdit field gives us the ability to
apply a format mask for the phone number.
The Enhanced DBGrid does not. Unfortunately. (At least to the best of my
understanding).

So, is there a way to programmatically at the table column level to accomplish
the same goal. Or, of course – I could be missing something.

Stay well.
Myron

Myron:

Assuming you may have already been to:

rbase.com/support/rsyntax/rbgx5

Type "mask" into the search control. The first item throws up "Using Format
Masks in Forms."

You'll find an example within DB Edit Properties. May be a short leap to the
Enhanced DB Grid.

Best, Bruce

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Formatting a Phone Number in an Enhanced DB Grid

I am using an Enhanced DB Grid in a form
One of the columns holds phone numbers in a text format
So, it looks like 6233226333
How do I apply a phone number format to the column?
Something like: !\(999\)\ 000\-0000;0; or anything that works
Stumped.
Thanks.
