Myron,
You can apply the !\(999\)\ 000\-0000;0; format mask to the phone
number column data.
Only you must use the new X.5-specific "DB Tree Grid" control!
Among the many other cool features within the new grid control,
format masks may be applied to the text fields.
After the phone number column is added to the DB Tree Grid, select
the "Edit Column Definition" button.
Under the "Properties" tab, select View As > Format Mask
Then, add the desired mask to the Format Mask field.
Below is the online help reference on where to apply the setting:

Be sure to enable the "Always Show Blanks And Literals" setting!
Have fun!

I am using an Enhanced DB Grid in a form
One of the columns holds phone numbers in a text format
So, it looks like 6233226333
How do I apply a phone number format to the column?
Something like: !\(999\)\ 000\-0000;0; or anything that works
Stumped.
Thanks.
