I have only one suggestion/comment.  When we were trying to get data from SQL
Server, we played around a lot with the command:
    SET PASSTHROUGH ON / OFF
Do you have those in your app?  We had hoped that setting it ON just once would
speed up all commands.  We found that it significantly sped up most of the
commands, but strangely enough seemed to make a few other commands take longer,
so we were setting it ON and OFF frequently.  We haven't gone live with our
work, so no real-time experience other than our tests

Subject: [RBASE-L] - R:BASE to Oracle ODBC question

Good afternoon!

Our company recently upgraded to a newerversion of the Oracle ODBC driver.
Specifically the "OracleOraClient10G" version.

Since that time ODBC queries from R:BASEto Oracle databases have slowed to a
crawl at best.  Literally fromminutes to hours in some cases.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit ona fairly beefy computer.  Using R:BASE X.5
Enterprise latest version.

Our IT people of course say it's notan Oracle problem.  My R:BASE programs have
not changed.

The only that;'s changed is the OracleODBC software.

I'm looking for a good resource to figureout how to tweak the connection or
what to change on my computer that couldhelp query performance.

Any suggestions or thoughts would begreatly appreciated.

Best regards.
