Our company recently upgraded to a newer version of the Oracle ODBC driver. Specifically the "Oracle OraClient10G" version. Since that time ODBC queries from R:BASE to Oracle databases have slowed to a crawl at best. Literally from minutes to hours in some cases. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on a fairly beefy computer. Using R:BASE X.5 Enterprise latest version. Our IT people of course say it's not an Oracle problem. My R:BASE programs have not changed. The only that;'s changed is the Oracle ODBC software. I'm looking for a good resource to figure out how to tweak the connection or what to change on my computer that could help query performance.
