Dan/Jan: I’m no expert, but some time ago I cobbled together a way to detect a network:
This DOS command allows me to get network information: Netsh WLAN show interfaces This DOS command sends the output to a file: Netsh WLAN show interfaces > C:\CTC\TOOLS\RBX5\WifiTestOutput.txt I put this line in a batch file, run it from RBase, and then import the file into a temporary table and extract what I need from it. Hope this guides you a little. One option I've been wondering about is including ALL the forms, reports and labels inside the compiled app. That way the only stuff that should be flying through the ether is the actual data. Maybe someone else has an idea. I want to be able to not allow them to run our compiled rbase app on their laptops when they are on wireless.
