You will want to include the Model # found on the existing battery in your 
search.  This will narrow the chances of getting the wrong one.  Also, you 
might want to insure that any replacement has a date code on it to further 
check against getting some VERY old stock from who knows where...

I recently got a battery for an older HP laptop that I gave to a family 
member that was not an HP brand but was 100% legit as far as being new and 
the equivalent output specs.
