In addition to what other have posted…I have replaced batteries on various laptops with varying degrees of satisfaction. My previous laptop, DEL XPS needed a new battery, and I got one with extended life. I was thicker and protruded at the bottom and the laptop sat at an angle that was actually nice for typing compared to the standard flat layout. The extended life was nice, but it was much heavier which made the already heavy laptop much heavier. There are lots of reputable places that sell batteries. I would find the DELL part number and do a search using the number; many vendors offer a warranty for a period of time; I did have to return one once and was not an issue. I finally decided to get a new laptop and I got a Dell Inspiron with latest generation Core I7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The laptop has only a 13” touch screen and can also be used as a tablet,. The screen size is not an issue for me since I have 2 large monitors connected at home and when at clients, I can use a super light USB flat external monitor or their projectors. The laptop is around 3 pound, much faster and so much nicer to carry than the old one. One thing to consider, if you still have a conventional drive, you might consider upgrading to an SSD, they make a huge difference in speed, use less power and the cost is reasonable. Hope you all don't mind a hardware question. Need to replace my Dell laptop battery. Seems I've heard warnings about not getting "cheap" batteries. Battery for the Latitude 3560 is not even available on Dell's website. Search shows everything from $23 from Secure-Battery.com to $90 from Parts-People.com This has been my warrior development machine for a long time and I don't have plans of replacing it anytime soon. How do I know if "cheap is good"? Typically it isn't.....
