FWIW I have R:Base 2000 6.5 1.842 RT03 running on Win 11 with compatibility setting for XP SP3. It also ran on W10. There's a later patch 1.866 which I seem not have installed - cannot remember why not. It runs well apart from very occasional crashes which I think are Windows memory management issues.
