Bruce, Maybe a workaround? Instead of a column use a variable, check for the difference before and after, update the column on exit?

(3) All cursor navigation keys are active [ Arrows | Tab | Enter ] (4) Properties Editing, Show Editor Checked (5) There are no Column #2 configurations beyond Width and Clickable Title. (6) Issue.
