I love your sense of humor and hope you stay cool.
It would be best if you took advantage of RBTI System Variables used in the form; RBTI_DIRTY_FLAG. It returns 1 if any DB Control value(s) in the form were changed or 0 if nothing was changed.
Keeping that in perspective, you may implement a logic in form's On Close EEPs as you see fit.
