Not sure if this is the same thing, but a guy that I work with (who is an
RBase developer plus other things) has written exes that look at a particular
Outlook directory for emails with a certain subject. It either extracts email
body into a .txt file or extracts the attached spreadsheets or PDFs. It then
extracts the needed pieces of information from those attachments into a csv
file that Rbase then imports in one overnight routine. He always has me write
the RBase side of things, importing the files into working tables and
processing, but his group of guys program the email side. If this is something

enter the data into R:Base and it automatically sends them a thank you email.
This is screaming to be automated - and I have R:WEB Gateway for that purpose.
What I'm not completely clear on is if I have our hosting company install the
gateway app on their end and have it send the data into our database - or
create an FTP site on my server and have them ship the data to us in a CSV
format where the gateway will pick it up and import it.
