J.M.:
I would be hesitant to return to an older version. I found out that when I
used the report designer (of a previous version/patch) to modify a report
that had been created/modified with the latest version, the report got
corrupted and rendered unusable. I had to recreate several reports because
of this. I believe that the same is true for forms.
If you want to use and old release, make sure that you backup your database
or use a copy of the database; better yet, use a backup of the database that
is contemporaneous with the release that you want to use; by this I mean
that the forms/reports have not been modified by a later release.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - How to return to an older RBW version ?

Hi all,

I did install RBW6.5++ (1.862xRT03) in Dec 2002 and I wish to return back
to 1.851 for tests purposes

I kept a backup of the directory where RBW is installed (currently
\RBTI\RBW65) so I can restore it ...
But what about the changes in the Windows register DB (if any) ?
And about the files copied in the WINDOWS directory (RBW65*.MSG and may be
others ....) ?

Will a DB upgraded in 1.862 keep working with a older version ?
What about CMD files (codelocked) ?

Thanks for any help,

J.M. GRATIAS, Logimatique
