I do the VPN approach, I still keep my mapping for networkdrives (That might be my oldfashioned DOSthinking) Considering the speed on the VPN I still export import data from local to central locations. A pain in many ways to get in correctly synchronised but still my user hate the vpn-responsetime.

Kind of like PC Anywhere or Carbon Copy. It sounds like a viable approach. Is anyone doing this, and/or using a VPN approach? Also, if all my remote plant data bases are moved to the corporate server, it would allow us to build a realtime "corporate view" of selected tables/columns of all plant data. No need to import data into a separate summary corporate data base. That would be something I'd like to see at the RBase conference! Sami? Dr R?
