I'm using VPN and Terminal Server on WIN2K server. Since all my databases reside on
a Netware 5.x server and I get the Netware Client login screen all my drives are
mapped thru Netware login script.

Seems to work ok, all tho I haven't done anything real heavy.

Using XP Pro on NT, it looks like you can run your RBase app without
mapping a network drive and giving the end user Explorer access. Kind of
like PC Anywhere or Carbon Copy. It sounds like a viable approach. Is
anyone doing this, and/or using a VPN approach?

Also, if all my remote plant data bases are moved to the corporate server,
it would allow us to build a realtime "corporate view" of selected
tables/columns of all plant data. No need to import data into a separate
summary corporate data base. That would be something I'd like to see at the
RBase conference!
