I did that ... No difference. In fact, as I don't use any drivers (I print from DOS directly to LPT1 port), the results should be the same as if the printer was not installed at all .... The situation is a bit more clear than a few hours ago : The bar code font is correctly downloaded into the printer because I can see it when I use printers' menu to print the list of PCL fonts. The problem seems to be in internal printer's settings : If I print Autotest/configuration, I see in the defaults printer setting : Font Source = I (internal). I would like to play with this setting ..... but I don't know how to .... No tech. manuals with the printer. Did't found any on HP web site. HP support say that it is impossible to change defaults value from the printer's panel ! This was very easy with my old good LaserJet III Regards, J.M. GRATIAS, Logimatique
