I had problems with RBrowse.dll on Win2K (on older laptop that shouldn't
have used Win2k). Was that an issue?
Also, with the move to Win2K, are you specifying SCRATCH and does the TEMP
directory actually point to the physical location specified by the
(ENVVAL('Temp')) ?

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Issues again when running RBW65++ with W2K

Hi all,

Yesterday, I visited a client to move one of my standard app from an old PC
running W98 to a new one running W2000.

RBW was properly installed from the original CD, then my app.

The app was running without problems with W98.

I stayed 4 hours with client, and during that time, RBW made severals
access violations and return to Windows.
Each time, I got Windows' message
'RBG65.EXE has generated errors et will be closed by Windows. You must
start again the program. Error log journal is being created'

Most of the time, error happen after a CMD file complete and when return to
the main menu.

Of course, I can duplicate the problem : when I try to duplicate by looping
that same process sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

I have DrWatson log file with all details ... but this is not very helpfull
to me.

Using RBW6.5++ (1.851xRT03) and W2000 SP 3
PC has 128 MbRAM
RBW, app and DB is installed on a shared disk on a W2K network, but tha app
is not shared (MULTI is OFF).

Any idea ?

Best regards to all,

J.M. GRATIAS, Logimatique
