Jim:
It definitely sounds like a path problem. I believe (someone correct me if I
am wrong) that the path information for 6.5++ WIN is stored in the RBASE.INI
file in the WINDOWS directory and in the AUTOEXEC.BAT in the root directory,
the path for the DOS version is stored in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file only. You
can always redefine the path in the command file that starts R:Base as
someone else suggested earlier. I seem to recall running into this problem
when I was working with both versions, but since I no longer use the DOS
version, it has not been an issue lately.

At this time nothing seems silly. Yes, I have checked and
multi is set to on.
I have just found another quirk.. I can connect to the db
with RBWin65, just not RBase DOS65..

Things are getting weird.. If I ever find this gremlin,
I'm gonna squast it flat.
