I remember one of the worst database corruptions ever.
I'm sure Albert Berry will remember too, as this was at
the client we both worked at. They had a SQL Server
database and all of a sudden about 9 tables just up and
disappeared, including the MAIN table with thousands of
rows of mortgage information. This table obviously had
a primary key, and yet the table was gone while the
foreign key tables were still there. So no one had
manually deleted this table (SQL had restrictions so we
couldn't do that even if we tried!). They had to shut
everyone down (300+ users and bring in a backup).
