Hi Razzak,
Really a pleasure to get your respose, but not surprised.
I am using the latest 1.866RT03 6.5++ version, recently acquired.
I also did look for samples in the NewStuff. None there.
Did also try the Closewindow comand but it had no effect. The first form was still hidden underneath, so I have to exit both forms to leave.

What I am specifically trying to do is to go to any record in the same form without having to step through using the prev/next keys and without bringing up a new instance of the form (similar to what is done with VB forms using a search button). I have no doubt it can be done in RB so I am just digging for help.

Robert,

Welcome to the Official R:BASE List Server!

Remember, we are only limited by our imagination.

Tell me exactly what you are trying to do. Post it here on this list or send
me a private e-mail at mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]  We'll do our best to
help you upgrade to the wonderful 6.5++ for Windows.

Have you looked into "NewStuff" demo bundled with 6.5++ for Windows
for samples?

You may also want to look at a few conversion articles posted on:

Depending on your need, you can always close and start another
instance in a form by using CLOSEWIN (EEP only command).

The transition from 6.5++ for Windows to 7.0 for Windows will be much
smoother and of course there are "no boundaries" in 7.0.

Good Luck!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
