Just getting back into RB programming from the DOS days, working on
some conversions. I have often wordered and am still surprised that
there is no search button among the pre-defined buttons in forms,

button. It works but it creates another instance of the form which I do
not want. Is there another way? I have searced the archives for this
group (with which I have been in constant touch) with no luck. If next,
prev can be programmed then surely find can be programmed.

Robert,

Welcome to the Official R:BASE List Server!

Remember, we are only limited by our imagination.

Tell me exactly what you are trying to do. Post it here on this list or send
me a private e-mail at mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] We'll do our best to
help you upgrade to the wonderful 6.5++ for Windows.

Have you looked into "NewStuff" demo bundled with 6.5++ for Windows
for samples?

You may also want to look at a few conversion articles posted on:

From The Edge: http://www.razzak.com/fte

Depending on your need, you can always close and start another
instance in a form by using CLOSEWIN (EEP only command).

The transition from 6.5++ for Windows to 7.0 for Windows will be much
smoother and of course there are "no boundaries" in 7.0.

Good Luck!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
