Also, pending the results of Alastairs report on the status of his system files on the Win98 box, you will find out if you use the System File Checker applet on a Win98 box to restore the system files each time you add some software that mucks them up, the box will perform as you would expect. Ditto on the Virgin install of the OS and never Upgrade. Never.
