I am running XP - I re-installed as you suggested and get the same message!

I did not have this problem before I ran on XP. I even got an updated
install CD with the latest windows installer. I never noticed this until
today when I was troubleshooting our lab tech's PC remotely and found out I
couldn't get in to the database while he was in it.

Charles:

Chances are you're running Windows 2000 or XP. This message indicates that
when R:Base was installed it was set up for a single user installation.
Somewhere in the installation process there is a question about whether to
install R:Base for a single user or for any user of the machine.

I would suggest uninstalling R:Base and then reinstalling it and make sure
to respond appropriately to questions about what type of installation. You
will need administrative privileges to do this install.

Hope that helps.

For some reason, I can no longer set multi on - I get the following message:

Current installation does not support Multi-user database operations.

I am using RBW6.5++ 1.864 RT03..

Thanks!
