I always get the security patches, no questions, and apply them.

As far as the OS patches, I download it to one machine, and see how it works. If I'm happy, then I install it to all machines. Same reason I keep ONE operating system on ALL of the computers on the network. I'm at Win2000 now, and until I can't do somethig on it, that's where I'm staying.

I've added one XP laptop for evaluation, testing, and all of that. When I'm happy with performance, and WIN2000 won;t do the job, I'll upgrade to it. When I do, we'll change ALL of the machines in the shop. If a machine isn't upgradable, then it gets replaced. Maybe not the most efficient way, but it certainly works for me.
