I've used AutoUpdate for two years with XP home and am very satisfied. I don't want to have to remember to check for updates every week. I also use the AutoUpdate feature of Norton Anti-Virus and am very happy with it. I've had no virus or worm problems in a long time. Oh, I also use Zone Alarm to help keep that door shut.
I do think Eric may have it backwards, with 98% of the people on this list knowing a great deal about computers!
