This is an update for the upcoming New York (or Tri-State Area) R:Base Users Group.

As they say, I've got good news and bad news, what do you want to hear first.
The bad news is that I've had to change the date of the first users group meeting.
But, I've got some great news! - We will have Mr. R:base himself, (in case you aren't sure who I mean it's Razzak) help us kick off the first meeting.
So, the first meeting will be on Thursday, October 2, 2003. The planned start time is on or about at 5:30 pm. The location remains the same; it is 225 Park Ave. South - floor 19. The building is between 18th and 19th St. Should you have any questions you can reach me on 212-435-6501.

For those of you have haven't seen Razzak give the introduction to R:Base training you now have the opportunity to. He will be in New York on Friday Oct 3rd and Saturday October 4th at the same location. My suggestion is don't miss this opportunity.

Please let this email be another invitation to all R:Base users in the Tri-Sate (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) area to attend and be part of the tristate R:Base users group.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - New York R:base Users Group - Repeat Offer, No Cost

An open invitation to all R:Base users in the Tri-Sate (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) area and for any other user that is interested in being a part of a users group. I think we might even talk R>azzak into joining us for a meeting.

I'd like to try and have the first meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at 5:30 / 6:00 pm at 225 Park Ave. South. The location is between 18th and 19th street (my office). Please let me know if you are interested in attending. For the first meeting, I think it would be great if we went over the new R:Base 7.0. The agenda for the first meeting is open, so please let me know what is on your mind and if you are interested in re-starting the NY area users group.

These are the R:Base users that expressed an interest at one time or other.

Everyone is welcome! If you know someone that is looking to understand what a relational db is, please bring them along. The more the better.

I think it would be good to have attendees present a short demo of the projects they are working on. Seeing what someone else is doing always sparks ideas for others. Of course using 7.0.
