Marc, I experienced a similiar problem with printing out of Rbase and found it to be related to the path_name length for the printer.
If the default printer for this computer is set to a networked printer, make certain the printer's full path and name does not exceed 50 characters. You can type PRNSETUP at the R> prompt or check the printers name in control panel. I have confirmed this anomoly existed in several of the 6.5++ for Win revisions.
