I too have had some problems with broken pointers in the past on note fields. I'm now going to convet a large (300mb) database. I have one table where critical data is in a NOTE field and I want to convert this to a text field. How do I count the maximum number of chars in the note fields so i can set a max of the new text field? TIA Bob C.
