I remember looking at the same thing a while back and I read somewhere that you can do this only on XP PRO; since I have XP HOME I did not look into this issue any further. I believe that this is correct but I am not 100% sure; anyway, it may give you a hint…

In XP, you can create different users, with one being an
Administrator, and others being general accounts.

I didn't spend too long looking, but I can't find a way
to have these general user accounts NOT see all the files
on the computer.  I ASSUME that this is possible, that if
a user goes into Explorer that they might not see all the
subdirectories on the computer.  Can anyone tell me how
to do this?
