RB 4 used the DBNAME.RBn files.
You've probably got an RB System V or 2.11 db that used DBNAMEn.RBF file names.
To convert to 6.5++, I'm pretty sure you'd need to convert through each successive version.
Considering the time frame (2 days) and convert issues, I think you'd be best to manually recreate the needed data tables in 6.5++, unload data from the old db as ASCII and import into the 6.5++.
