RB 3.x was bad news, I don't think "If it ain't broke -- Don't fix it!" applied, it was broken right out of the box,
RB 4  used the DBNAME.RBn files.
You've probably got an RB System V or 2.11 db that used DBNAMEn.RBF file names.
To convert to 6.5++, I'm pretty sure you'd need to convert through each successive version.
Considering the time frame (2 days) and convert issues, I think you'd be best to manually recreate the needed data tables in 6.5++, unload data from the old db as ASCII and import into the 6.5++.

Did I say old?  Perhaps ancient would be more appropriate!

Believe it or not, I have stumbled across a Credit Union that is
still using an Rbase 3.1 (or maybe 4) application written circa 1990
on a daily basis!

I guess they subscribe to the theory  "If it ain't broke -- Don't fix it!"

Anyway, looks like the original developer died.
{...insert brief pause here to reflect...}

In order to help them, I need to connect / convert this database into
RB Win6.5++ (Windows) so that I can assist them in generating
the 1099's that are due in two (2) days!!

What process do I need to perform in order to convert a copy of their
database files:
{dbname1}.rbf
{dbname2}.rbf
{dbname3).rbf
- to -
{dbname}.rb1/rb2/rb3/rb4

Once in this format, I already have a functional report format for printing
on the pre-printed forms.

Any info on this subject would be helpful and downright educational!

Thanks,
