I had inadvertently made a post to this list last week that should have been on the 7.0 list. (My apologies) However I wanted to thank everyone for their replies and willingness to lend a hand.
I attended the Advanced class this weekend and I was very impressed with all the features that forms have for control over all types of fields (Controls). Many other new tools presented show that RBTI are adding very functional features almost faster than I can learn them! >From displaying web pages to changing colors on the fly, the sky is the limit. Now with all these controls available, how easily and fast they are to implement, there will be a lot of clients very impressed! As expected from the earlier post on my report situation, I now have reports working exactly the way I want. I appreciate Razzak staying late and working with me, not only with my reports, but showing me better ways to obtain results. (Where else will the owner of a software company give you that type of service!) By removing the calculations out of the report and placing them in the driving view, not only did I get the results I needed, the reports were much simpler to create and I believe printed faster. I now have a presentation ready for Monday that I believe will secure me a very profitable project. I enjoyed meeting fellow developers and the methods and tips presented will certainly make the time to crank out reliable, functional and visually impressive applications even shorter!
