not sure if this helps any but seems like you are scraping the bottom of the barrel 
for clues...

have you manualy totaled the printed report to see if the total is the right number?

if it is the (mathematicly) right total but different than whats on screen, maybe a 
document is caught in the printer/computer's cache?

it might be a different document getting printed out or something.
