Hi Razzak, I'm aware, just have no clients interested in upgrading.
Have you ever tried UltraEdit? If not, you are in for a surprise. I use it with two monitors. File compare loads both files in editor on one monitor and the compare results on the other. Clicking anywhere in a compare screen will take you to the exact spot in the referenced file. Very cool stuff, and I only use a tiny portion of the features. The other thing I like about UltraEdit is that I can load UNLOAD files and browse them at very high speed. Even unloads of 2GB databases are handled with finesse. UltraEdit has been doing this for years. Now, if I could unload only certain sections of a database definition under program control, that would eliminate one of my favorite uses for UltraEdit. I'd love to be able to unload the table definitions, views, indexes, etc into separate files. UNLOAD needs an overhaul. I might get interested if more attention were paid to database maintenance tools. Been asking for that for years. Dennis McGrath --- "A.
