Very good points, Dennis!
As I have said earlier in my reply:
" ... As always, we'll continue to do what we do best, that is to provide the best tools to our loyal and dedicated customers. Look at the features in 7.1, 7.5 and the Ultimate V-8!"
Ask those who have requested *on-going* enhancements in the current versions of R:BASE 7.1 and the upcoming R:BASE 7.5 and V-8.
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.

The file compare feature is so absolutely amazing that you have to see it! At work I have a local copy of the RBase application on which I do mods and testing. To avoid inadvertently stepping on myself, I compare the two versions of a file before starting on any changes. It is so cool to read the two files side by side with the differences highlighted. The confidence factor goes way up. There is a button to switch between seeing the complete files or just the differences.
Also, unload a really large database and read it with UltraEdit, navigating to the bottom and back to the top, and then try it with RBEdit. You may find you have some more work to do. The speed of UltraEdit is amazing. In fact it has been amazing for years, working fast on PCs that were just a shadow of what we use today.
Remember how long it took me to get you to try RStyle? Once you tried it you had to have it. I think you will find these two features of UltraEdit are in the same ballpark. They would be invaluable to implement in RBEdit.
